As pet owners, we often face the difficult reality that our beloved companions may reach the end of their lives. It’s a heart-wrenching circumstance that many of us can't always plan for. When the time comes to say goodbye, feelings of deep sadness, anxiety, and loneliness are normal. We want you to know that you aren't alone and that we are here to help you find peace during this difficult experience.
Support From The Start
Our support for you and your pet is not limited to the time scheduled for your appointment. We are committed building a relationship of support from our very first conversation.
Together and as a team we will develop and plan for your unique pet, pet siblings, loved ones and family ensuring dignity, comfort, and peace during their final goodbyes. We want to ensure that when we arrive at your home that you are able to be fully present with your pet and family - confident in the plans we created together.
Helping you understand the euthanasia process is very important to Valerie and me. We are committed to answering your questions, providing helpful information, and helping your navigate through this difficult experience. It is normal for questions to arise unexpectedly and we are here to help you, even in the middle of the night.
Quality of Life Consultations
Understanding your pet’s quality of life is vital when considering euthanasia. This is a decision often seems impossible to face for pet families. It is normal for those having to make this choice to have trouble accurately and honestly evaluate the many aspects that affect the overall total health of the pets that we have come to rely on. At no cost to you and by phone we will provide and help you use tools, ask questions to help you consider things you may not have thought of, and discuss ways to seek additional caring perspectives to help inform your decision.
We encourage you to share your observations about your pet’s behavior, eating habits, mobility, and overall comfort. Discussing these details helps ensure that you feel empowered in making choices for your pet's care. Our team is trained to guide these discussions with empathy and understanding so that you can find clarity during this challenging time.
(Please understand that we are unable to provide medical advice or diagnosis during this call. Evaluations and diagnosis made by your primary veterinarian, or other care facility (such as a Pet ER or Urgent care) can help in our discussion and play a major role in your decision making.
Euthanasia Procedure and Aftercare
Once the decision has been made for in-home euthanasia, we will walk you through the entire process. It's important to discuss your preferences about the procedure—the time, location, and any special requests you may have. This ensures that the experience can be as peaceful and personal as possible.
We will also discuss aftercare options that are available to you. Whether you wish for cremation, burial, or another form of memorialization, we want to ensure your wishes are honored. Our compassionate team stands ready to support you, facilitating these processes to ease your burden during this painful transition.
